Monday 20th February Student Rep meeting with JS
Lucie and Farah had raised some issues relating to the course with JS. A meeting was agreed to and we all met in room 705 at 16:40. Issues raised mostly related to communication, feedback, mentoring/support and ways to improve the experience of participating in the course.
A very constructive two way conversation ensued with a number of ideas to move forward being the outcome.
It was highlighted that as a year we have no formal links to year two and three students, and it was felt they could possibly be good mentors/advisers and contacts (even on an informal level). Students are being asked if they would like to partake in a student rep led session to meet/chat and discuss work and hint/tips and the university experience.
Please continue to highlight issues (and successes) relating to the course that you feel the student reps should discuss with the staff. Also please consider how best we can improve any areas of concern that you should have in relation to the course.
